The Carmelit is an uphill subway system in Haifa, Israel that opened in 1959. the system has 6 stations along its 1.8 km track that climbs Mt. Carmel. the stations look very much like a regular subway but are slopped on an angle with stairs to make moving up and down easier. The system transports around 2,000 people along the track each day and is among the most unusual subway stations in the world. (Source)

These Dante’s Inferno sand sculptures are from the International Sand Sculpture Festival. It’s held in Venice, Italy, on the beach of Jesolo Lido. 2,000 tons of sand were used to craft 24 different scenes from the 9 circles of hell in Dante’s Inferno. (More Pictures)

A reservoir of water three times the volume of all the oceans has been discovered deep beneath the Earth’s surface. The finding could help explain where Earth’s seas came from.

The water is hidden inside a blue rock that lies 700 kilometres underground in the mantle, the layer of hot rock between Earth’s surface and its core.

Some geologists think water arrived in comets as they struck planets, but the new discovery supports an alternative idea that the ocean oozed out of Earth’s interior layer.

WHAT THE FUCK

I just wanna point something out.

You know how you always see those pictures of the strange types of fish that live in the deep, deep sea?

like this one

or this one

and this one

If any and if possible imagine what the fish look like in the DEEP, DEEP sea.

I’m smelling a million dollar creepy story.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but that’s not how this works. There’s not actually a big sea of water down there. It’s just the components of water (in the form of OH- ions) trapped inside rocks.
