This episode touched on my controversial topics, namely homosexuality, misandry, and domestic abuse.
When Kitty showed up at Courage’s house she was welcomed in by Muriel. She pretty much tortured Courage, just because he was a dog, which was used to hide the tone of misandry. She actually beat him because he was male.
Mad Dog, the dog with the MD on his collar, both physically and mentally abused Bunny, however all was done in a comical cartoon style to hide the tone of domestic abuse.
Kitty and Bunny’s relationship was the more blatant, but still hidden under the guise of friendship.
In the end of it all, the episode teaches that if you’re in an abusive relationship that you should seek help or welcome it, in the case of the episode. It also shows, as Kitty learned in the end, that not all men are bad, in fact many would want to help those in situations like she and Bunny were in.
I mean, courage risked his life for both Bunny and Kitty, even though Kitty beat the crap out of him, and Mad Dog and his crew were massive and hulking, compared to Courage.
Off all the episodes of Courage I watched when I was little, this is one of the few ones I still remember clearly. It...
