“The idea of the film is that there’s this book, the book of life, that has everyone’s story in it. When we go to our hero’s chapters, we find his pages empty because he’s not living the life others wrote for him, and he’s not living the life that was destined for him, he is writing his own story. No matter who your father is, no matter who your family is or where you come from, what you do is what will determine who you are.
