A
mythical half-man half-owl creature that scares off holidaymakers in
Cornwall has been filmed in a graveyard – for the first time in 40
years.
The
terrifying apparition has been the subject of folklore since the 1920s
but villagers began to rest easy as it hadn’t been seen since 1976. But
local Mark Davies has now sparked fresh terror among the current flock
of tourists in Cornwall by capturing the infamous character on camera.
Mark filmed the shadowy horned figure known as the Owlman of Mawnan Smith prowling a graveyard in the village.
I reblog this every time I see it, because the part that makes this so horrific to me, is that the room is a direct callback to Goodnight Moon. It takes this memory of safety and security and turns it directly upside down and I love it.
hey so Emily Carroll is my absolute favorite horror artist and her stories are some of the greatest things i’ve ever had the ghastly pleasure to read. many of her comics are free online, such as the classic His Face All Red
This year I made some illustrations for my school project, hope you like it!
