This photograph of a 1940s German U-Boat appears to show an extinct Megalodon floating along side it. The existence of the gigantic shark has been disputed by many, but a lot of scientists say there’s evidence to support the fact that they may still be out there.
Simple, breezy, and silly as hell, The Meg is the kind of summer movie that’s not so stupid as to be insulting, but knows just how to keep things moving so you don’t question the premise *too much* The cast, while limited in screen time and development, is colorful and goofy enough to be memorable while the titular monster gets a fair amount of money shots as well. It’s a brutally efficient adaptation of the book, so expect nods while not slavish to the source material. Not as good as Rampage, but definitely better than Fallen Kingdom.
