I know exactly how that shit lit up. See the smoke coming from the stack when he’s lifting? That’s the hydraulic pump working, and it’s working hard judging by the smoke. Runs hot even when it’s working normally. Probably been running extra hot for weeks. Probably the oil cooler shit the bed ages ago. Probably been running hot for so long that seals failed. Hydraulic tank probably losing volume because of it, getting hotter and hotter because there’s less oil to take the heat, losing oil pressure and viscosity and making that pump work harder and harder. Probably it’s someone’s job, at probably 18 bucks an hour, to check on that.
