i made a list of cryptids (and other folklore creatures) in preperation of inktober since i’ve decided to participate this year! some are well known, while others are the silliest things ive ever heard of. (the weirdest ones are my favorites honestly. i’m very excited to draw a squonk)

The first encounter with the Beast of Bray Road was experienced by Doristine Gipson. Gipson was driving along Bray road at the time of the encounter and she suddenly felt as though her car had struck something. Pulling the car over, she got out and began looking around in the dark to try and see what she had hit. While she didn’t see anything laying in the road, she did see a giant creature rushing toward her from the darkness of the forest. Gipson reported hearing its heavy footsteps as it ran toward her and described the creature later as being dark and covered in hair. She got back in her car and the creature latched onto it, thankfully it was too slippery because of recent rain and the Beast fell onto the pavement as Gipson tore away in her car.
