Reblogged from aner-bananer :

aner-bananer:

30 freak outs after watching the reveal trailer for Silksong later, and I was inspired to pay homage in a major way to my favorite game. I’m doing a tarot deck. It’s happening. The major arcana I have planned out fit with these characters SO WELL—stay tuned!

Hopefully this project helps me wait until this game is released. My goal is to ABSOLUTELY print them all out and send them to Adelaide, Australia to celebrate the launch of Silksong.

UPDATE:  Lurien the Watcher as the Tower

Meaning: The Tower is commonly interpreted as meaning danger, crisis, destruction, and liberation. It is associated with sudden unforseen change.

Had a bit of a hiatus there, but I’m back and ready to finish this 22 major arcana deck! I was dreading this card because I had NO idea how to lay it out but then I had an epiphany. I wasn’t going to depict the tower itself, but Lurien serves as as the tower by blowing him up quite large and using his very towering silhouette.

I feel like Lurien is great for this card for the obvious reason, but also because of his watchful gaze—he would have likely been the one to go to the Pale King with news about the spreading infection, and most likely relayed most of the goings on in the city to him since he was so reclusive!

NEXT UP:  Monomon the Teacher as the HIEROPHANT
