Reblogged from seanofthedead :

seandelosmuertos:

So, I was watching River Monsters on the Discovery Channel, and apparently this is a thing that exists. It’s a stingray that lives in Paraguay and Argentina, and is referred to as “chucho de rio” by locals. It can get about 4-5 feet wide, weigh 200-300 lbs, is covered in mucus that contains bacteria and necrotic toxins that destroy flesh, and has a giant stinger covered in barbs on its tail that it can gore you with and tear a hole in you. It has been known to kill animals as large as horse and cows that cross its path. I know this is a really random post, but WHAT THE HELL. Nature is CRAZY.
